New Delhi July 24 (IANS) As many as 246 kilometres of state roads in Himachal Pradesh have been declared new National Highways since 2013-14 Parliament was told on Monday.
"With this the total length of national highways in Himachal Pradesh is about 2 642 kilometres at present " Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Mansukh Lal Mandaviya told the Rajya Sabha in a written reply.
"Apart from this the ministry has approved in-principle about 4 507 kms state roads as new national highways subject to outcome of their Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) " he said adding that the preparation of DPRs has been initiated.
