Yangon Jan 12 (IANS) An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale hit Myanmar s Bago region early on Friday the Meteorology and Hydrology Department said. No damages or casualties were reported.
The quake occurred at 12.56 a.m. with its epicentre at 27.3 km west-southwest of Phyu city Xinhua news agency reported. Three shallow aftershocks occurred within minutes of each other.
About 70 quakes jolted Myanmar in 2017.
