July 3 (WTN)- The Accidental Prime Minister is scheduled to release on 21 December 2018. The movie is biographical political drama film directed by Vijay Ratnakar Gutte and written by Mayank Tewari. The film stars Anupam Kher as Manmohan Singh. The film is based on the 2014 memoir of “ The Accidental Prime Minister”  by Sanjaya Baru. In 2004 Sanjaya Baru left a successful career as chief editor of the Financial Express to join Prime Minister Manmohan Singh as his media adviser in UPA 1.

Other lead actors are Akshaye Khanna as Sanjaya Baru, Suzanne Bernert as Sonia Gandhi and Aahana Kumra as Priyanka Gandhi.

Aahana Kumra who plays Priyanka Gandhi came under the spotlight after her role in Lipstick Under My Burkha.

As the movie on ManMohan Singh shall be released before Lok Sabha elections 2019, controversies are bound to happen. Will it influence any electoral result, is anyone’s guess.  Remember Udta Punjab ? The movie released before Punjab assembly election, and the result of election!!
