Srinagar Oct 21 (IANS) A civilian was killed on Saturday in heavy shelling and firing by the Pakistan Army on the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir s Baramulla district police said
"A porter working for the Indian Army was killed and a girl injured in the shelling and firing in Uri sector which started at 11.30 a.m.
"The Indian military is retaliated strongly and effectively " police sources said.
Due to heightened tensions between the two Armies on the LoC no traditional exchange of sweets and greetings took place on Diwali.
