Concluding Ceremony of 'Adi Sarjana'
During this event, the visitors also tasted the traditional food of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra states at very cheap rates. Gujarati food of 'Rathwa's and Bhil community of Madhya Pradesh has served Makka chapatti, Bhate ka Bharta, Urad Dal-Bada and Chutni whereas Warli of Maharashtra has prepared their traditional laddus containing rice, coconut, gur (jaggery) etc. It was served with Bhakari (roti made of rice), and vegetable of potatoes and brinjal.
In the cultural performance Siddhi Dhamal dance was of big attraction. Siddhi of Gujarat were migrated from Africa very long back. Even after a long period of time, they are still following their traditions. Siddhi Dhamal dance is one of them. During this dance, they sing their traditional song and use musical instruments.
The muria artists from Narayanpur, Baster, Chhattisgarh presented their famous gendi folk dance. It is famous for dance with balance on long sticks.
In addition to this, Mavpatha (Basater), Ghodhi Padhai (Gond Dindori, MP), and Baiga Pardhoni (Chadha, Dindori) were also presented during the event which was appreciated by the viewers.
The last presentation of the event was dance of Gonds. Gond community of Madhya Pradesh presented Gudum dance. It is a unique dance based on the different rhythms performed with colourful costumes and traditional musical instruments. This dance is a part of festivals, marriage, birth and new crop celebrations etc.-Windowtonews
