New Delhi June 22 (IANS) The national capital faced an all time high peak power demand in May and June compared to the last three years according to a government data.
As of June 19 this year the demand reached 6 934 MW against 6 526 MW in 2017 and was only 6 260 MW in 2016.
For the month of May the demand was 6 422 MW against 6 021 MW in 2017 and 6 188 MW in 2016.
The peak power demand of Delhi broke all previous records twice in June -- June 1 with 6 651 MW and June 8 with the peak demand reaching 6 934 MW -- to hit an all-time high.
