New Delhi June 1 (IANS) The peak power demand of Delhi broke all previous records to hit an all-time high of 6651 MW on Friday said discom BSES.
The peak power demand touched 6 651 MW at 3.36 p.m. on Friday BSES said in a statement adding that in 2017 the peak power demand was at 6 526 MW.
The power distributor also said that the peak demand this year may breach 7 000 MW.
In 2018 the peak power demand had already crossed 6 000 MW eight times against twice in 2017 according to BSES.
