Now the Income Tax Department to issue e-refund only, for which the bank account must be linked with PAN number

MAR 01 (WTN) - If you fill income tax and get Income Tax Return, then link your PAN number with your bank account at the earliest, because if you do not do so, then Income Tax Returns will be deposited in your bank account. For your information, let you know that the Income Tax Department has cleared that from 1st March, 2019, it will issue e-refund only and the refund will be sent only to the bank account linked to the PAN card, for this, saving and current account should be linked to PAN number.

If you have not yet linked your bank account with your PAN card, you should complete this work as soon as possible. You can also link the PAN card to the bank account online, or you can also link it by going to the bank. After linking the PAN number with the bank account, you will also have to pay pre-validation after going to the Income Tax Department's portal.

If you do not have a login on the Income Tax Department's site, then you have to make it through your PAN card. To find out whether your bank account is linked to a PAN number or not, you can go to the e-filing Portal of the Income Tax Department and log in there on your account. After this, go to profile settings and pre-validate your bank account.

By doing this, you will know whether your bank account is linked to PAN number or not. If your bank account is linked to the e-filing portal then the account will be automatically pre-validated through EVC and net banking. For your information, let you know that the Income Tax department has issued the refund either through the account payee check or in the bank account so far. You must also link your Aadhaar card to PAN Card by March 31, 2019.
