Chennai April 18 (IANS) The Indian subsidiary of Spanish wind turbine maker Gamesa on Tuesday said it has commissioned over 2 000 MW of wind power last fiscal.
In a statement issued here Gamesa Renewables said it has commissioned 2 050 MW of wind power for the financial year 2016-17.
According to Gamesa it is the first company in India to have achieved 2 050 MW of wind power commissioning in a single year.
Today the company has a total installed capacity of over 4 800 MW across seven states in India.
The statement added that the merger between the parent Gamesa and Siemens Wind Power became effective on April 3 2017.
The combined entity has a market presence in more than 90 countries and has 75 GW of installed capacity worldwide.
