Mumbai Jan 19 (IANS) Lending major HDFC Bank on Friday reported an increase of 20.1 per cent in its net profit for the third quarter of 2017-18.
According to the banking giant its net profit during the quarter under review increased to Rs 4 642.6 crore from Rs 3 865.33 crore reported for the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
"The bank s total income for the quarter ended on December 31 2017 was Rs 24 450.4 crore up from Rs 20 748.3 crore for the quarter ended on December 31 2016 " the company said in a statement.
"Net interest income (interest earned less interest expended) for the quarter ended on December 31 2017 grew by 24.1 per cent to Rs 10 314.3 crore from Rs 8 309.1 crore for the quarter ended December 31 2016..."
