Kolkata April 28 (IANS) Heroin valued at Rs 1 crore has been seized by the NCB officials from West Bengal s Murshidabad district and one person arrested an official of the Narcotics Control Bureau s eastern zonal unit said on Saturday.
The accused was remanded in NCB custody by a Behrampur court on Saturday.
"Jahir Seikh a resident of Murshidabad district was arrested from Jaisitala area in Lalgola area on Friday and 460 gm heroin seized from him " NCB Eastern Zone Regional Director Dilip Kumar Srivastava said in a release.
The drug produced in Lalgola was destined for supply to Kolkata he added.
