New Delhi April 26 (IANS) India and Sri Lanka on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation in economic projects following talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his visiting Sri Lankan counterpart Ranil Wickremesinghe here.
Deepening economic collaboration. India-Sri Lanka signed MoU on Cooperation in Economic Projects External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Gopal Baglay tweeted.
In a separate tweet Modi said that he held comprehensive talks with Wickremesinghe on ways to strengthen India-Sri Lanka ties for the benefit of our citizens.
Earlier in the day External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj called on the visiting dignitary.
Wickremesinghe arrived here on Tuesday on a five-day visit to India.
