International herbal fair from December 14 to 20

Union Forest Minister Dr. Harshvardhan to inaugurate 

Bhopal: International herbal fair is being organized in Bhopal from December 14 to 20, 2017. Union Minister for Forest, Climate Change, Science and Technology Dr. Harshvardhan will inaugurate the 7-day fair at Lal Parade ground at 5 pm. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will conclude the programme. Forest Minister Dr. Gaurishankar Shejwar, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Cooperatives Vishwas Sarang and Minister of State for Forests Suryaprakash Meena will be present during the programme.

Giving this information Rajya Laghu Vanopaj Sangh President Mahesh Kori said that participants from Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal, Malaysia besides Bihar, Assam, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Chhattisgarh and other states of the country will take part. As many as 300 stalls of rare herbs collected from various districts of the state will be put up in the fair. Collectors of Vanopaj Samitis from far-flung areas will also display and sell various kinds of herbs. Kreta-Vikreta Sammelan, Laghu Vanopaj Sanrakshan and Vipanan workshop and Ayurveda camps will also be organized. Van Mela is quite popular among Bhopalis due to easy accessibility of various types of herbs. Cultural programme will be held every evening during the fair.

Kori today reviewed preparations for the fair in which Managing Director Jawwad Hussian and Additional Managing Director Rajesh Kumar, Satishchandra Silawat, Chitranjan Tyagi, Nirankar Singh, Bhagwat Singh and H.U. Khan were also present.-Windowtonews
