Jammu Dec 13 (IANS) Jammu and Kashmir Governor N.N. Vohra on Wednesday summoned the session of the state s bicameral legislature on January 2 an official statement said.
Vohra has summoned the state legislative assembly and the legislative council to meet at the new secretariat premises here on January 2 when he will address a combined sitting of members of both houses said the statement from the Governor s Office.
"After the said address each house of the legislature will meet as a separate body at the time to be specified by the respective presiding officers " it said adding the announcement followed the Governor s nod to the Mehbooba Mufti-led state government s proposal in this regard on Wednesday.
