Cologne (Germany), Oct 15 (IANS) The German police on Monday arrested a man after he took a woman hostage at a pharmacy inside Cologne city's central railway station leading to a lock-down for several hours.Authorities said the suspect sustained life-threatening injuries after the police fired shots while storming the pharmacy, reports said.The railway station was on lock-down for several hours on Monday following the hostage situation. The area in and around the station -- a major transport hub for rail traffic across Germany and western Europe -- was cordoned off, according to the BBC.The police refused to comment whether the incident was terror-related.Authorities later said that the situation was "under control" and the teenager, who was taken hostage, was receiving treatment for minor injuries. --IANS soni/bg
