New Delhi Feb 2 (IANS) A man working as a photographer was stabbed to death by the family members of a woman with whom he was in a relationship police said on Friday. The mother father and uncle of the woman have been arrested for the murder.
Police said Ankit 23 was in a relationship with a 20-year-old woman for the last three years.
The father mother uncle and minor brother of the woman were against the relationship and had a verbal fight with him on Thursday night.
"During the investigation it was found that they caught and stabbed Ankit in the neck. The woman s family was against their relationship as they belonged to different communities and had threatened Ankit to disassociate himself with her " Deputy Commissioner of Police Vijay Kumar said.
"Except for the minor brother the woman s mother father and uncle have been arrested " he added.
The incident occurred around 9 p.m. and was reported to the police by a private hospital staff. No PCR call was made in the incident the police added.
