Bhopal: Matikala Board has made eco friendly statues of Lord Ganesh available for Ganesh Utsav at the State’s Handicraft and Handloom Development Corporation and Khadi and Gramodyog centres.

Principal Secretary Cottage and Gramodyog Smt. Veena Ghanekar told that these statues made of clay and with natural colours will not pose any problem to the environment during immersion.

Immersion of statues made of POP is reducing the waterlogging capacity constantly and also polluting ponds, kunds and rivers. St. Ghanekar said that Matikala Board has made these eco-friendly Ganesh statues with this purpose.-WTN
