Islamabad May 6 (IANS) Pakistani authorities have signed a MoU with Germany-based auto giant Daimler AG for the production of Mercedes-Benz trucks in the country the media reported.
According to the Memorandum of Understanding the local assembly of these trucks will mark a major shift in the domestic logistics and transportation industry towards the European manufacturers reports Dawn news.
Ralf Forcher Head of Sales for Daimler AG said: "Pakistan s infrastructure and construction sectors have regisÂtered significant growth in recent years having a direct effect on the logistics industry as it gives rise to an increased demand for commercial vehicles."
