Srinagar Jan 26 (IANS) Authorities on Friday suspended mobile phone services in Kashmir Valley snapping both call and internet services on these appliances.
Officials said the step was taken as a precautionary measure ahead of the flag hoisting and parade to celebrate the country s Republic Day.
Sources said the services are likely to be restored in the afternoon.
Following intelligence reports about the presence of a non-local female suicide bomber in Srinagar city authorities are taking no chances while securing the venue of official functions in the city and at other district headquarters.
