Jammu Feb 28 (IANS) The Pakistan Army on Wednesday resorted to indiscriminate shelling on the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir s Rajouri district.
The Pakistani side used small arms automatics and mortars to target defence and civilian facilities along the LoC in the district a defence official said.
"Pakistani shelling and firing started at 10.30 a.m. Our positions retaliated strongly and effectively" the official said.
Pakistan s indiscriminate shelling of civilian facilities has forced the authorities to shut 72 schools close to the border in Rajouri and Poonch districts.
