New Delhi May 23 (IANS) Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh became the first BJP leader to congratulate JD-S leader H.D. Kumaraswamy and Congress s G. Parameshwar who were on Wednesday sworn-in as Karnataka s Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister respectively.
"Congratulations to H.D. Kumaraswamy and G. Parameshwar on taking oath as the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka. I hope Karnataka will move forward towards peace progress and prosperity under the new government " he said in a tweet.
The Home Minister s wishes comes amid Bharatiya Janata Party s state unit staging protest across Karnataka against the formation of the Janata Dal-Secular (JD-S)-Congress coalition government.
