Bhopal: Minister for Revenue, Science and Technology Umashankar Gupta while distributing certificates to the farmers in Pt. Shri Laxmi Narayan Sharma Krishi Upaj Mandi, Bhopal inaugurated the Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana. Address of the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan given at Khurai of district Sagar was broadcasted live on the occasion. Gupta said that Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana is not only a unique scheme of the country but of the world.

Gupta further mentioned that the state government is constantly making efforts to double the farmers’ income. As a result, the state is being honoured with Krishi Karman award at national level constantly since the last 4 years.

No Such Loan Arrangement Ever

Gupta stated that there was no such loan arrangement earlier under which the farmer has to repay an amount of Rs. 90 thousand against a loan of Rs. One lakh. Twenty four hours electricity is being supplied to the farmers in the state. The irrigation area has been increased to 40 lakh hectare which was 7 lakh 50 thousand hectare in 2003-04. He further added that the farmers are cultivating 3 crops now.

Gupta told the farmers for availing full benefit of Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana, if any problem surfaces will be solved. Mandi Secretary Vinay Pateria informed in detail about the facilities being provided to the farmers.
