New Delhi Aug 22 (IANS) Congress leader Manish Tewari on Tuesday welcomed the Supreme Court judgement striking down triple talaq calling it a "progressive and constructive" decision.
"Welcome 3:2 verdict of SC striking down Triple Talaq. It is a constructive progressive decision that must be welcomed by all right thinkers " Tewari a lawyer himself said in a tweet.
The former union Minister s remarks came after the apex court held triple talaq as "unconstitutional" "arbitrary" and "not part of Islam".
