The film stars Lily James, Amanda Seyfried, Christine Baranski, Julie Walters, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth, Stellan Skarsgård, Dominic Cooper, Cher, and Meryl Streep. Both a prequel and a sequel, the plot is set after the events of the first film but also features flashbacks to 1979 to tell the story of how Donna came to be on the island of Kalokairi and trying to figure out who fathered her daughter, Sophie.
Streep, 69, and Cher, 72, — who previously worked on 1983’s Silkwood — were all smiles as they shared a sweet Kiss.
