Chennai, April 23 (IANS) In order to increase the people's immunity, the Tamil Nadu government on Thursday decided to distribute Kabasura Kudineer powder mix to households in the COVID-19 containment zones.

In a statement issued here, the government said it has decided to distribute one lakh packets of Kabasura Kudineer power mix - a Siddha medicine- to boost the immunity of people living in the COVID-19 hotspots.

The statement said the government has started the project called 'Arogyam' on the advice of experts and has started distributing a powder mix of Kabasura Kudineer and Nilavembu Kudineer.

The government clarified that this is not the treatment process for COVID-19 but only to boost immunity.
