Vanilla Peach Georgia Lemonade

03 Aug 2018
Ingredient:
1 tsp Vanilla
4 ripe Georgia peaches
2 lb fresh lemons
1/4 cup dark brown sugar
6 cups water
1 cup sugar

Method:
Preheat gas grill to medium-high heat.

Wash peaches. Cut them in half, remove pits, then cut in half again.

In a medium bowl, add peaches, 1/4 cup dark brown sugar, and vanilla. Stir well to coat peaches and set aside.

Wash lemons and cut in half. Juice the lemons so that you have about 2 cups of lemon juice. Pour lemon juice into a large pitcher and add 6 cups of water and 1 cup of sugar. Stir to combine and dissolve the sugar. Set aside.

Place the peach quarters skin-side down on the hot grill and cook for 3 minutes.

Using a tongs, turn the peaches and grill another 3 minutes. Remove peaches from grill.

Skin peaches and blend in a blender (or use a food mill) to grind to a smooth pulp.

Add the pulp to the lemonade mixture and stir to combine.

Serve in tall glasses over ice, or chill in the refrigerator until serving. Garnish with mint leaves, sliced peaches or lemons or other fruit.
