New Delhi July 28 (IANS) Despite some parts of Delhi receiving rains Friday remained warm with the maximum temperature recorded at 35.9 degrees Celsius a notch above the season s average.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) Saturday may see a rise in mercury with the sky remaining cloudy and there being a slight drop in rainfall.
On Friday Delhi experienced 4 mm rainfall at Palam and 0.1 mm at Safdarjung between 8.30 a.m. and 5.30 p.m.
The minimum temperature also increased on Friday registering 28.8 degrees Celsius two notches above the season s average while humidity oscillated between 79 to 61 per cent.
"Friday saw less or only trace of rain " an official told IANS.
The maximum temperature on Thursday settled at 35.4 degrees Celsius a notch above the season s average while the minimum temperature was recorded at 28.6 degrees Celsius.
