WikiLeaks offers $100,000 reward for redacted JFK files

New York Oct 27 (IANS) WikiLeaks has offered $100 000 reward to anyone who can provide them with the redacted parts of the files relating to the assassination of US President John F Kennedy.

The whistleblower organisation announced this in a tweet: "WikiLeaks issues a $100 000 reward for the withheld JFK documents should they show violations of law inefficiency or administrative error."

The offer was made on Friday after nearly 2 900 of the JFK assassination files were released on Thursday night.

Around 200 documents have been held back by federal agencies as they say they pose a risk to national security a fact which is said to have displeased President Donald Trump.

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange tweeted: "The agencies have had literally 25 years to prepare for the scheduled release today. The delay is inexcusable. @realDonaldTrump."

President Trump in a tweet said: "JFK Files are being carefully released. In the end there will be great transparency. It is my hope to get just about everything to public!"
