Lucknow March 9 (IANS) Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday said he won t allow the BJP to remote control Uttar Pradesh in the event of a hung assembly hinting at possible alliances.
Akhilesh Yadav told the BBC Hindi that he was confident of the Samajwadi Party-Congress alliance winning the staggered assembly election.
Asked if he would align with the BSP if there was a splintered verdict he said he would not allow Uttar Pradesh to be run by remote control by the BJP.
About aligning with BSP chief Mayawati he said: I address the leader of the BSP with a respectable name (bua) and would not like to say anything beyond this as of now.
Akhilesh Yadav s comments came even as exit polls on Thursday indicated a hung assembly in Uttar Pradesh.
