'Environment and Climate Change’ theme of book fair


Pragati maidan New Delhi is ready for 26th annual New Delhi World Book Fair (NDWBF) will be held from 6 to 14 January 2018. Main theme of this year’s book fair is 'Environment and Climate Change'.  
The Fair is organized by National Book Trust (NBT), an autonomous body of the Government of India under the Ministry of Human Resource Development. India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO) is the co-organizer of the Fair which is the nodal agency of the Govt. of India under the Ministry of Commerce.



NDWBF provides the exhibitors a unique chance for business with this developing book market. Publisher can promote titles, publication arrangements, and trade. Besides the many literary and publishing programmes that are organized during the Fair, it also opens up a gateway to the publishing and intellectual world of South Asia. The Fair is major attraction of participation from major publishing houses around the world.

As the main theme of this event is climate change so debates and conversation with authors and environmentalists will be held where the subject specialists will discuss their thought by which environment can be saved.

This year organisers invited European Union as Guest of Honour Country of this year Book fair so the pavilion of EU is uniquely designed to reflect the rich and dynamic European culture and literature.

According to the organizers more than 35 publishers from various countries will participate in this fair. International Events Corner with different look is dedicated to foreign Exhibitors, Cultural Centers, and Book Promotion firms. This Events Corner ideal to organise Book Launches, Panel Discussions, Literary Workshops for youngsters as well as adults.

Exciting features of this fair is “New Delhi Rights Table” which will take place on 8 and 9 January 2018. It offers matchmaking sessions with participants in a sound and refreshing arena.
