ABB India s Q2 net profit up 35%

Mumbai July 20 (IANS) Industrial technology major ABB India on Thursday reported an increase of 34.90 per cent in its net profit for the second quarter (Q2) of 2017.



According to the company its net profit for Q2 increased to Rs 75.06 crore from Rs 55.64 crore reported for the corresponding period of 2016.

The company revealed that it had received orders worth Rs 2 301 crore during the second quarter and had an order backlog of Rs 12 094 crore as on June 30 2017.

"Advanced preparation with a robust team ensured that we are well prepared to manage positive yet disruptive structural changes in India s eco system. We delivered into projects of national importance during the quarter with our best in class future ready technologies made in India " said Sanjeev Sharma Managing Director ABB India.

"Our technology solutions are set to play a significant role for a nation riding the wave of development across utilities industry infrastructure and transportation."
