Adequate milk and exercise increases level of Vitamin D

June 20 (WTN) - Vitamin D supplements   with adequate quantity of milk and physical activity such as exercise etc. increases the quantity of vitamin D. This new information revealed out from a study done at the University of Eastern Finland.

According to researchers, it is very important to have high levels of vitamin D for the strength of bones. It also reduces the risk of many chronic diseases.

This study has been published in the British Journal of Nutrition. The level of Vitamin D was found to be the highest among those children whose blood samples were taken during the summer. While during the winter it was low, because the region does not get sunshine in the winter.

In this research 80% of the children were tested with low level of vitamin D levels. In order to increase the level of vitamin D, scientists have recommended drinking two and a half to three glasses of milk per day.

Also, definitely eat the fish twice to thrice a week, vegetable oil must be eaten, as it contains vitamin D. Apart from this, children should be encouraged to take part in physical activities and sports.
