Now another connection has erupted, Kingpin of the racket, Sonu Jalan, has said that filmmaker Sajid Khan was one of his clients and he used to place bets for him on cricket matches.
Police will look into the involvement of Sajid Khan and further decide if Sajid Khan needs to be questioned or not. Bookie Sonu, had earlier named Arbaaz, who confessed to cops that he had lost Rs 2.8 crore in betting.
Sajid has directed movies like Darna Zaroori Hai , Heyy Babyy , Housefull series, Himmatwala and Humshakals. He has also also acted in many Bollywood movies and hosted TV shows.
