Panaji July 27 (IANS) Yet another incident of desecration has been reported in North Goa where a cross has been found vandalised police said on Thursday.
A Catholic cross installed in a remote area in Chimbel village was found damaged a police spokesperson said adding investigations were on.
"We are in the process of questioning locals to see if someone was seen moving about in a suspicious manner. The exact time and date of desecration is not clear " the spokesperson said.
This is the second desecration incident reported in the state in the last three days. On Tuesday a graveyard in South Goa s Marcaim village was vandalised by unknown persons.
Earlier police had arrested a 50-year-old taxi driver for a series of desecration incidents across the state for the last several years.
