Bhopal 11 april 2022 : Governor Mangubhai Patel has said that the consumers who are at the end in the link should be made aware about energy conservation. Public awareness activities should be conducted for them. He called upon the children to make their family members aware of small discretion for saving fuel.

He said that the development of coming tomorrow rests on the right use and conservation of energy.
Petroleum products directly affect the economy. Therefore, proper use of various energy options is necessary for economic reasons as well as in controlling the challenges of climate change like global warming. The visionary Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made five commitments through Panchamrut to pass on the legacy of a pleasant, protected environment to our future generations. To increase the country's non-fossil energy capacity from 150 gigawatt to 500 gigawatt by 2030, meet 50 percent of energy demand from renewable energy, reducing the carbon intensity of the economy to less than 45 percent, while meeting 50 percent of energy demand from renewable energy, reducing total projected carbon emissions by one billion tones, the work of public awakening should be done with hard work by connecting with the group of consumers to meet the goal of Net Zero by 2070 because only hard work gives results. The Executive Director of Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Madhya Pradesh, Deepak Kumar Basu informed that the Conservation Capacity Festival is being organised in various sectors like agriculture, industrial areas, schools, homes and transport etc. He said that India is at the forefront of efforts to control carbon emissions. It is the first country in the world to go directly from B.S.-4 to B.S.-6. He said that efforts are being made for self-reliance through the network of compressed gas and compressed biogas in all the districts. New opportunities for entrepreneurship and employment will be created in rural and urban areas. Saksham Mahotsav is being celebrated to promote clean and green energy.
General Manager Sharad Kumar Barnwal informed that annual expenditure of Rs 412 thousand crore is made on petroleum products in the country. Energy conservation efforts are necessary in view of the continuous increase in demand as compared to production. He said that during the festival, public awareness efforts would be made through pad yatra, cycle, CNG rally, LPG activities, farmers fair and industrial activities.
