Mumbai May 18 (IANS) Two and three-wheeler manufacturer Bajaj Auto on Friday reported a rise of 34.68 per cent in its standalone net profit for the quarter ended March.
In a regulatory filing to the BSE Bajaj Auto said its standalone net profit for the January-March quarter was at Rs 1 079.87 crore up from Rs 801.82 crore reported in the corresponding period of 2016-17.
The total income of the company during the period under review stood at Rs 7 139.96 crore 29.67 per cent higher than Rs 5 506.43 crore earned in the fourth quarter of 2016-2017.
For the financial year 2018 the company reported a standalone net profit of Rs 4 068.10 crore 6.28 per cent higher than Rs 3 827.56 crore reported in the previous year.
The company further said its board has recommended a dividend of 600 per cent or Rs 60 per share of face value of Rs 10 each for the financial year ended March 31.
