Dhaka July 17 (IANS) At least three people were injured in bomb explosions on Tuesday at an election rally of Bangladesh s largest opposition party in Rajshahi city police said.
A police official told Xinhua news agency that three crude bombs exploded during the rally of former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia s Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) in Rajshahi city at 10 a.m. (local time) injuring three people including a journalist and a party leader.
BNP staged the rally to drum up support for its candidates in the Rajshahi City Corporation Elections slated for July 30.
