Box Office fight to intensify if Padmavat is released on 25 January
Amid speculations that Padmavat (earlier Padmavati) will be released on 25 January, 2018, Gujarat becomes the  another state after Rajasthan and Himachal to ban the screening of the movie. Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, which had earlier indicated the film may be banned in the states have not come up with any such dictates. If these states also go in same lines as Rajasthan and Gujrat, the film may not be released in major part of north and central India.

If the movie is actually released on 25 January, 2018 then it will compete with Akshay Kumar’s Padman and Neeraj Pandey-directed Aiyyary were scheduled for release on this date.
