Kolkata Nov 23 (IANS) Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama on Thursday said former US President George W. Bush s motivation to bring democracy in Iraq was "good" but his method "wrong."
"He is a wonderful person. We immediately developed a close level human interaction when we first met. I told him I respect you but I have great reservation for some of your policies " he said at a talk organised by the ICC.
The Dalai Lama also spoke about his relation with Bush Junior to drive home his emphasis on conflict resolution through dialogue.
"There is a lot of problem (in Iraq). Now there is a bad relation with many in the Muslim community. If he was not using force and used more money for education and scholarship for students then situation would have been different " he said.
The Dalai Lama said he is "committed till his last breath to promote ancient Indian knowledge in modern India through education".
