New Delhi April 5 (IANS) The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved the signing of a agreement with National Research Agency of France (Agence Nationale de la Recherche) for supporting the Belmont Forum Secretariat from January 2015 to December 2017 at a total estimated expenditure of euro 40 000 a cabinet communique said.
The Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi also approved continued financial support to the Secretariat beyond 2017.
The Belmont Forum created in 2009 is a high-level group of the world s major and emerging funders of global environmental change research and international science councils. India is a member.
