Mumbai May 30 (IANS) Canara Bank on Wednesday said it closed last year with a net loss of Rs 4 222.24 crore on a total income of Rs 48 194.94 crore.
In a regulatory filing in BSE Canara Bank said last fiscal it had posted a net loss of Rs 4 222.24 crore as against a net profit of Rs 1 121.92 crore posted during FY17.
Last fiscal it earned a total income of Rs 48 194.94 crore down from Rs 48 942.04 crore.
During the year under review the provisions for contingencies including against bad loans stood at Rs 16 109.10 crore up from Rs 7 271.97 crore.
