New Delhi Nov 10 (IANS) At a time when the world is dealing with a bunch of socio-political crisis situations a series of paintings and photographs beautifully establishes the analogous nature of angst stress and distress of humans.
Held at the The Stainless Gallery in New Friends Colony the exhibition is organised by Great Banyan Art an online art gallery and curated by its co-founder Sonali Batra.
The exhibition showcases works by Indian artists like T.V Santosh Shilpa Gupta Anjum Singh Sunil Padwal and Rameshwar Broota and 15 international artists.
It juxtaposes these along with artworks by emerging contemporary artists from Indoensia South Korea Vietnam Russia the Czech Republic the Netherlands Spain Poland Romania South Africa UK and the US.
Along with paintings which are either based on acrylic and oil there are also a series of photographs and some sculptures.
"The artworks curated are inspired by the ancient geek myth and metaphor used in modern language. With a touch of satire these works featured in the show symbolises socio-political adversities that are prevalent today " curator Sonali Batra said.
"While Pandora s Box draws light onto life s miseries that exist in our world it also emphasises on hope " she further added.
