Dubai:Spanish tennis player Carla Suarez Navarro on Thursday pulled out from the Dubai Tennis Championships, due to pain in her right shoulder.

The injury has already limited Suarez's performance and led to her elimination from the second round of the Australian Open,reports Efe.

After missing the tournaments in Brisbane and Sydney, Suarez announced that she will not play in the Taiwan Open, the Fed Cup against Czech Republic, or the Qatar Total Open, where she intended to defend her title.

The Spaniard hopes to recover completely from a tendon inflammation in her right shoulder, through physiotherapy and without having to undergo surgery.IANS
