Chennai July 26 (IANS) Former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam on Wednesday thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for accepting his request to issue a commemorative coin on the birth centenary of AIADMK founder and late Chief Minister M.G. Ramachandran (MGR).
In a statement issued here Panneerselvam said the Union Finance Ministry has informed him that the Centre was accepting his request and has agreed to issue the coin with MGR s image.
Panneerselvam ade the request in January.
