Bhoomi-pujan and dedication of development works worth more than Rs 400 crore
 
Bhopal 11 April 2022 : Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has described Maa Kankali temple of Banauli in Panna district as a historical and religious place. He said that the blessings of Mata Kankali should always remain on the residents of the area. Mata Kankali’s grace and miracles are amazing. My life has become blessed with Mata’s darshan. Chief Minister Chouhan said this at the formal inauguration of Kuantal Mela Mahotsav at Banauli village in Powai development block.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that it is a matter of pride to organize Kuantal Mela in a big way after two years. Best wishes to all for this. He said that everyone should be happy and healthy, may everyone be well, May Mata Kankali bless everyone. He also prayed to Kankali Mata to ward off the fourth wave of Corona. The Chief Minister said that under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, large scale vaccination of citizens has been conducted in the country with better management.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that Mukhya Mantri Kanya Vivah / Nikah Yojana will start again from April 21. An amount of Rs 55 thousand will be spent for the marriage of daughters. He instructed the District Collector to make all necessary arrangements and preparations for organizing the marriage of girls from poor families in the Kuantal complex. He said that daughters are also the form of devi. Only by respecting one’ mother, sister and daughter will the country be happy and prosperous. So far 43 lakh daughters have been registered under Ladli Laxmi Yojana. Other schemes are also being run for the welfare of women. The state government will make arrangements to pay the fees on the admission of financially weak and meritorious students to institutions like IITs, IIMs, including medical and engineering colleges.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that strict action will be taken against criminals who disrespect women. Action will also be taken against goons and miscreants, their house and immovable property will be razed. Enemies will be destroyed and the people will be saved.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that effective arrangements have been made to provide food grains to poor people regularly under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan and Mukhya Mantri Annapurna Yojna. Instructions have been given to add the names of poor persons deprived of eligibility slips in the list. Along with this, financially rich people have also been asked to remove their names. He gave strict instructions for strict action against the ration mafia.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that a provision of Rs.10 thousand crore has been made in the budget this time to provide pucca houses with basic facilities to poor people. 10 lakh houses will be built every year for the next 3 years. Under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, a poor family can get treatment up to Rs 5 lakh in a year. Arrangements have also been made for the treatment of the needy from the Mukhya Mantri Swechhanudan Nidhi. He also directed to organize health camps. Chief Minister Chouhan said that so far an amount of Rs. 1 lakh 72 thousand crore has been made available in different schemes for the welfare of farmers. Arrangements have also been made to export wheat to the farmers, so that the farmers can get a fair price.

Chief Minister Chouhan, on the demand of Pawai MLA Prahlad Lodhi, said to start work on Patne multipurpose project after necessary approval from Wildlife Board and government level, approval of dam and power house after technical feasibility, 132 KV power station in Simaria and the survey of Raipura and Tendughat projects. He also assured to make efforts for the establishment of a civil court in Shahnagar. He said that an action plan has been prepared to provide drinking water from tap to every rural household in Pawai assembly constituency. He said to increase the capacity of transformer and to hold discussion with the cement management to give priority to the unemployed of the area in the local cement plant. The Chief Minister also gave instructions for deepening and beautification of the Kuatal pond. He also took a pledge from the citizens to participate in the construction of water structures, respect for daughters and plantation.

Member of Parliament V.D. Sharma said that Kuatal Mela and Kankali Mata Temple are symbols of people's faith. It is our collective responsibility to always keep it intact. He said that many welfare schemes have been run by the Madhya Pradesh government in the interest of farmers. Irrigation facility is now available in 42 lakh hectare areas as against 7 lakh hectare irrigation potential in the year 2003. Ken-Betwa link project will increase the irrigation potential and Bundelkhand will become green and prosperous. Member of Parliament Sharma appealed to the villagers to participate in the Jalabhishek campaign and informed about the completion of the process of establishment of Agriculture College in Panna. Mineral Resources and Labour Minister Brijendra Pratap Singh apprised the Chief Minister about the demands of the district.
Chief Minister Chouhan started the programme by lighting the lamp and performing Kanya Pujan. The Chief Minister was presented a sapling of Amla selected in "One District-One Product" in Panna district by the guests. Chief Minister Chouhan performed bhoomi-pujan and dedicated various development works worth Rs. 404 crore.

On this occasion, Pawai MLA Prahlad Lodhi, District Panchayat President Raviraj Yadav and other public representatives, Collector Sanjay Kumar Mishra, Superintendent of Police Dharmraj Meena, officers-employees of the concerned departments and a large number of villagers were present. The programme was conducted by Sanjay Singh Parihar and MLA Lodhi expressed gratitude.

Earlier, Chief Minister Chouhan was accorded a warm welcome by public representatives on his arrival at the Banauli helipad.
