Urban Administration Department is seeking the concept of the smart city in the state of Madhya Pradesh. Various activities are being conducted through the participation of citizens through skill development and capacity augmentation. The idea of placemaking scheme is being held in this series by Bhopal Municipal Corporation in Bhopal.
In #Placemaking scheme, the objective is; keeping amenities, pleasures and health of the citizens of city Bhopal in view, developing such places, which can improve the living standards of the citizens.
These places will be selected after discussion with the citizens and their feedback. In this placemaking, areas will be developed keeping in mind the social concerns with better architecture and craft. These places can be offered mainly in the open corners, , food, gym, play zones, free libraries, cultural and historical activities, public art, hawkers market parking, garden many such points.
The Government of Madhya Pradesh once again urges to the smart citizens to contribute their feedback and participate in the campaign by marking the places of one's choice. Base on the citizen's suggestions these places will be developed under the plan Smart City #placemaking.
The possible places can be a commercially viable mega market exclusively for self-help group products and services. In a commercial area, a strategic location for a tribal haat, solely for selling genuine products and services from the tribal region. Selling of Tribal Ornaments, Garments, Utensils, Handicrafts, Weapons, Food products, Herbs, Medicines, Hygenic tattooing, artworks and a restaurant commonly serving tribal food could be considered."
