Court seeks status report in case against Kejriwal

New Delhi July 12 (IANS) A court here on Wednesday sought the status report from Delhi s Anti-Corruption Branch on three FIRs registered against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and others in connection with alleged irregularities in PWD works.

Special Judge Poonam Chaudhary asked ACB to file its status report on the case and listed the matter for July 31 for further hearing.

The court also asked the probe agency to file report on the allegations that complainants are receiving threats for filing complaint.

The court is hearing a criminal complaint filed by Roads Anti-Corruption Organisation founder Rahul Sharma and its Secretary Viplav Awasthy who sought action against Kejriwal his brother-in-law Surender Kumar Bansal (now deceased) and a Public Works Department (PWD) officer on charges of cheating forgery and criminal conspiracy.

The complainants accused them of cheating and defrauding the treasury to the tune of Rs 10 crore.
