New Delhi April 19 (IANS) It was a sunny morning in the national capital on Thursday with the maximum temperature set to touch 40 degrees Celsius.
The minimum temperature was recorded at 23 degrees Celsius a notch above the season s average.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) though predicted some respite soon. "There are chances of drizzling and light showers on Friday " an IMD official said.
Strong winds on Thursday improved the air-quality to moderate at 9 a.m. for Delhi and NCR. The humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 41 per cent.
Wednesday s maximum temperature settled at 38.2 degrees Celsius -- a notch above the season s average while the minimum temperature was recorded at 23.7 degrees Celsius two notches above the season s average.
