June 16 (WTN)- Filmmaker Hemal Trivedi, in a Facebook post had claimed that Shoojit Sircar's recent release October is plagiarized from the 2017 Marathi film, Aarti - The Unknown Love Story, which is directed by Sarika Mene. October stars Varun Dhavan.

Recently, October was released on Amazon Prime also. Sarika Mahesh Mene, the director of Aarti, has sent a legal notice to the makers of October and the Amazon prime. Based on her brother Sunny Pawar's real-life story, Aarti traces his journey as he stood by his girlfriend Aarti Makwana, who was paralysed in a car accident, till her last breath.
