Bhopal: Minister of State for Cooperatives, Bhopal Gas Tragedy, Relief and Rehabilitation (Independent Charge) Vishwas Sarang issued directives to the officials of Municipal Corporation and District Administration for proper cleaning of sewers. Sarang toured Ashoka Garden, Dilkhusha Bagh, Subhash Nagar and low lying areas prone to water logging during rainfall under the Narela Assembly Constituency today. ADM Ratnakar Jha, Additional Commissioner M.P. Singh and other Officers were present during his visit.

Sarang mentioned that he had given directives for cleaning of sewers earlier also, but no work as per the directives has been carried out. This is not proper. He said that sewers located in Ashoka Garden, Dilkhusha Bagh, Mahamai ka Bagh, Semra and Subhash Nagar etc. discharge water of almost all the city. Garbage becomes hurdles in water flow of these sewers and creates flood like situation during the rainfall. He instructed that sewers should be cleaned on time. Moreover Sarang during his visit to colonies of wards 69, 41,40, 71,39,36,38, 37 and 76 issued directives to the officials for making arrangements for relief and to stop water logging in these areas. Local Corporators and citizens were present on the occasion.-WTN
